“I think they key to being a great stylist is being able to be a great listener. That goes for the hair as well as the relationship. I’ve become a great therapist! I also believe that the key to longevity as a stylist is making education a priority. Techniques and trends in hairdressing are constantly changing and evolving and it is so important to stay on top of that for my clients”
Kristy’s passion for learning has led her into teaching. She was an educator for Kevin.Murphy for the 5 years traveling to teach styling to other stylists at Salons all around Southern California. She has also had the pleasure of customizing her own classes for the stylists at The Canyon Salon.
In January 2018 Kristy was chosen to be a part of the Ted Gibson Artistic Team. This is an elite small group of stylists from around the nation that educate and inspire at all the biggest hair shows, in salon classes as well as exciting events like New York Fashion Week.
Kristy has truly found a passion for education in the hairdressing world. “Hairstylists are some of the most amazing people on the planet. My favorite thing is to be in a room full of them learning and creating together. I love being able to mentor young stylists and watch them grow. To be able to pass on everything I have learned over the years and inspire others to have an amazing and successful career is a gift. I always have new ideas in my head and goals for myself. We will see what the future holds!”
